About Captain Si

Captain Si is a lifelong native of Florida’s Emerald Coast. He’s been an outdoorsman nearly his entire life and derives no greater pleasure than sharing his passion with others. Captain Si can hardly find any greater joy than taking a kid fishing and is more at home on the Gulf Coast waterways than at his own kitchen table.

In past years he has worked as a columnist and contributor to GAFF Magazine and has taught workshops for Bass Pro Shops World Wide Sportsman in Destin, Florida. Captain Si is a United States Coast Guard endorsed 100-ton captain and has worked in every body of water from Matagorda, TX to Long Island Sound. He is a member in good standing at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Valparaiso, FL, a husband to Caitie Beth and a father to Jack, Charlotte, Davy, and Henry.

About The Boat

Conveniently docked at the harbor in Destin, the Jack 'Em Up is a 24' custom built Carolina Skiff center console powered by an ultra quiet Yamaha 115. The Jack 'Em Up has an upper helm station and a massive casting platform for sight fishing, as well as a very roomie lower deck. The boat comfortably fishes 6 people and the Captain. Being a flat bottomed boat with an Atlas Jackplate System, Captain Si can fish extremely shallow water with just as much ease as the deeper nearshore gulf waters. Due to the flat bottomed hull design, Captain Si prefers to always fish calm water for the most enjoyable experience. The massive front deck provides plenty of room for dry storage, as well as the required safety equipment and there's plenty of room for everyone to sit while fishing, riding from spot to spot, or simply to lay out and catch some rays!
